The Illinois Chiropractic Society continually strives to provide our members with additional benefits. Although our members realize the inherent benefit of the protection of their license in Illinois, there are many other benefits to membership with the ICS. (download membership form here)

The ICS provides information to our members on a regular basis. Beyond the extensive online information available through ilchiro.org, the ICS fields hundreds of questions a week from members requesting information ranging from advertising to independent contractors, from fee splitting to the delegation of billing, from Blue Cross/Blue Shield to Medicare... We have experts in a variety of areas to assist our members with many of their questions.

Our members also receive our webinars, recorded webinars, other online education, & our quiz program, as well as discounts on ALL product purchases from ScripHessco (10%), exclusive monthly product discounts from ScripHessco, malpractice insurance premiums from OUM (10%), and several other programs.

  • Clarified our scope of practice and secured our physicians ability to advise their patients on non-prescription products as well as utilize atmospheric oxygen;
  • Began work on limiting copay requirements to ensure they cannot exceed 50% of the patient’s total bill;
  • Passed 4 other meaningful bills directly affecting chiropractic physicians around the state, and;
  • Many other profession critical issues.

We are working on solving issues with several insurance companies. Currently we are working on issues surrounding BCBS-IL, OptumHealth, Cigna (State of Illinois Employees Plan), ASHN, and others. The ICS represents Illinois’ doctors on a variety of insurance committees, and we take part in lawsuits when the need arises.
