Meet Paxson

Your ICS knowledge assistant

Paxson is a closed-system AI assistant trained by the Illinois Chiropractic Society — instant answers drawn from primary-source ICS material and trusted regulatory resources, with the sources to back them up.

Why Paxson

Built to be your most knowledgeable teammate

She cites her sources

Every answer links to the ICS articles, videos, and primary-source documents behind it — so you can verify and go deeper.

Trained on ICS knowledge

Built on the Society’s articles, videos, forms, and templates — and designed to understand them, not just store them.

A closed system

Paxson answers only from vetted ICS material and tells you when she doesn’t know — unlike open, general chatbots.

Member-grade depth

Logged-in ICS members get unlimited questions and fuller answers, including member-only resources.

The name

Honoring a chiropractic pioneer

Paxson is named for Dr. Minora Paxson — one of the first women in the chiropractic profession, who graduated from Palmer’s Chiropractic School in 1900. In 1904 she became the first licensed chiropractic physician in Illinois and the United States.

She co-founded the American School of Chiropractic and co-authored the first chiropractic textbook, Modernized Chiropractic, in 1906. Naming our AI assistant for her honors a legacy of education, advocacy, and trailblazing leadership.

All about Paxson

Good to know

Who is Paxson?

An AI-powered assistant trained to be the ICS’s most knowledgeable team member — ready to answer your questions about the chiropractic profession and practice in Illinois.

What does Paxson know?

She’s trained on the ICS’s articles, videos, forms, templates, and selected primary-source documents — and designed to understand the material, not just retrieve it.

How is she different from ChatGPT?

Paxson is a closed system trained by ICS staff and physician leaders, with access to member-only resources. She answers only what she has sources for — and she cites them.

Why doesn’t she answer everything?

Members get unlimited questions and fuller answers. Guests and logged-out visitors get a limited number of questions and shorter responses.

Getting the best answers

Be specific

The more specific the question, the sharper the answer. Instead of “Tell me about HIPAA,” ask “What are the required elements of a Notice of Privacy Practices?”

Ask for help

Ask for recommendations — the steps to build a policy, which ICD-10 code applies, or where to start on a topic.

Ask for summaries

She’s great at summarizing complex material to get you started — e.g. “Can you summarize the latest article on E/M billing?”

Disagree? Tell her

Use the copy and feedback tools to flag answers. Your input helps ICS keep refining Paxson for members.
