Dr. Lacy H. Cook, Jr.

Lacy H. Cook, Jr., 73 of Oswego, Illinois passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on June 18, 2017 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora Illinois.

Lacy was born in Orlando, FL to the late Mavis and Lacy H. Cook Sr. on October 30, 1943. He graduated from Oswego High School and continued his education at Chiropractic School in Lombard, IL. He married Pamela J. Davidson in 1965 and they established their life together in Oswego, where they raised their two sons. Lacy had a Chiropractic office in Oswego for 45 years prior to his retirement. He served as president of the Illinois Chiropractic Society and was Chairman of the Board for 2 years. He also served on the Illinois Medical Disciplinarian Board in Chicago for 10 years. Lacy was very artistic and had many hobbies including traveling, jewelry making and sculpturing. His incredible talents were shared with many over the course of his life.

Lacy is survived by his son Douglas (Lisa) Cook of Lenapah, OK, his sister Jean Foster of Oswego, IL, daughter-in-law Jamie Cook of Loganville, GA as well as, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and his nieces and nephews. He was proceded in death by his parents, his wife Pamela and his son Bradley.

A gathering of family and friends will he held at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Alzheimer Association, of Illinois, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631, in remembrance of Lacy's late wife.
